Told Ya I'd Get It! (truck)

I raced a few people of course as well, racking up my losses yet again. I was only doing it for laughs most of the time, but I kept up with a new chevy diesel and sometimes passed him.
The truck is a Black 2004 F-150 Supercrew 4x4 Lariat with Black interior, Moonroof, power sliding rear window, etc. The truck is very nice, it's what I expected and more. I only paid $20,750 and am going to begin modding sometime soon. I need to first fix my computer, there are pink horizontal blocks interlacing my monitor, I believe it's my monitor or video card doing this, so going to debug that after posting this, I can hardly read my words.
I was playing with a newer corvette, a lady in her 40's was messing around thinking I was waving at her, then got the hint and gunned it, she beat me with ease, but I was laughing in good fun. The truck is completely stock, 50k miles on it now. It was a 2100 mile trip or so and I made it in good time!
Nebraska, what is up with that smell on I80, that was the most foul odor I've ever came accross. I really didn't like Nebraska much at all, I didn't like Nevada, and I wasn't too fond of Illinois (Chicago area). I did like Salt Lake City, and I did like Wyoming a lot, the people mainly. It was very country-like, lot of cowboys and truckers, just the way I like it. I liked Indiana, the people were great, even the guy I bought the truck from.
I am really glad I did this, and my truck does not feel as slow as the trucks off the lot, I guess I got lucky. I averaged about 14.8 miles round trip. I can't help gunning it, that wine is "different" from the 2v 5.4 in my 02 and it sounds sick. I will show the pics now, one is of the Chevy I ended up passing, he wasn't that quick, I'm not very impressed. It was a 2500 duramax diesel I believe. Another was a gal in a corvette, she was having fun too. I didn't know it was a diesel until he gunned it, that black smoke killed everyone behind him, people were getting out of the lane which gave me room. Wish I could clear a lane like that
All in all, a great trip, highway 80 can be VERY boring, I was on that for about 1800 miles or so. At one point I didn't see anyone (I was going 95) for about 20 minutes, pitch black out.
$400 in gas later... (I can't see my monitor well, so I hope these pics come out good)

Diesel Chevy I kept up with (wasn't very hard).

Btw, I've ordered an XCal2 and a bedrug, can't wait. The XCal 2 order form is long as hell, but for good reason I'm sure. I can't answer 1/2 the forms because a lot deals with vehicle history, I just got it and didn't ask questions like how long have you had them spark plugs in there.

Although if he was on I-80, most of the hog lots are back from the intersate, compared to western Nebraska, where when it rains the highway turns brown from the cattle feedyard runoff...(if you think I'm kidding, be out by Big Springs in March when the snow melts)
During the night, your (as in all other states but CA) are completely deserted, however it's very peaceful. I really didn't see much to talk about, it was fun as hell racing though. I just love the feeling it has when it pulls. I am telling you, when I get the XCal2 I will be able to break loose with ease. The truck pulls VERY hard at the top of 2nd gear, and the top of most gears for that matter, much more than my 02, I'm just not used to that. It's much quicker than the 05 (very similarly loaded) Lariat 4x4 I test drove. I love my truck, I don't think it's hit me that I own my dream truck, I can't wait to start modding it so someone reply to my "Magnaflow Discount" thread so I can purchase that, I can't wait.
I have a question I asked Brew over AIM, and I kinda agree, I should probably hold off on the XCal2 until I'm done modding so that I don't have to get it reprogrammed/tuned with the mods in mind. Anyone else agree or is it cheap to get a re-tune?

Why you waitin' until you get to North Platte?
I can make Steamboat in 7 hours from Lincoln...Summit County (Copper, Keystone, etc) takes about 8-1/2 or 9 because of having to go through Denver. :santa:

It looks good.
