Told Ya I'd Get It! (truck)
Yep, I finally got my truck. I flew into LaPorte, Indiana thursday the 27th, I started driving the 28th at 11am Central and got home the 29th at around 11pm. Took me roughly 24 hours of driving on what Mapquest said would take 31, I drove 90-95mph on average, and top'd out at 105 (limiter). I raced a few people of course as well, racking up my losses yet again. I was only doing it for laughs most of the time, but I kept up with a new chevy diesel and sometimes passed him.
The truck is a Black 2004 F-150 Supercrew 4x4 Lariat with Black interior, Moonroof, power sliding rear window, etc. The truck is very nice, it's what I expected and more. I only paid $20,750 and am going to begin modding sometime soon. I need to first fix my computer, there are pink horizontal blocks interlacing my monitor, I believe it's my monitor or video card doing this, so going to debug that after posting this, I can hardly read my words.
I was playing with a newer corvette, a lady in her 40's was messing around thinking I was waving at her, then got the hint and gunned it, she beat me with ease, but I was laughing in good fun. The truck is completely stock, 50k miles on it now. It was a 2100 mile trip or so and I made it in good time!
Nebraska, what is up with that smell on I80, that was the most foul odor I've ever came accross. I really didn't like Nebraska much at all, I didn't like Nevada, and I wasn't too fond of Illinois (Chicago area). I did like Salt Lake City, and I did like Wyoming a lot, the people mainly. It was very country-like, lot of cowboys and truckers, just the way I like it. I liked Indiana, the people were great, even the guy I bought the truck from.
I am really glad I did this, and my truck does not feel as slow as the trucks off the lot, I guess I got lucky. I averaged about 14.8 miles round trip. I can't help gunning it, that wine is "different" from the 2v 5.4 in my 02 and it sounds sick. I will show the pics now, one is of the Chevy I ended up passing, he wasn't that quick, I'm not very impressed. It was a 2500 duramax diesel I believe. Another was a gal in a corvette, she was having fun too. I didn't know it was a diesel until he gunned it, that black smoke killed everyone behind him, people were getting out of the lane which gave me room. Wish I could clear a lane like that
All in all, a great trip, highway 80 can be VERY boring, I was on that for about 1800 miles or so. At one point I didn't see anyone (I was going 95) for about 20 minutes, pitch black out.
$400 in gas later... (I can't see my monitor well, so I hope these pics come out good)

Diesel Chevy I kept up with (wasn't very hard).

I got pretty much exactly what I wanted, just no parking sensors, I will install one soon though, and if anyone can find the button that controls the parking sensor in a salvage yard with the plastic backing, I'll buy it from them.

just kidding....nice truck, congrats!
lol, I am tellin ya, it was horrible, and clearly you know exactly what I'm talkin about
Should have stop'd by, I went right by or through Lincoln, could have drove eachothers trucks for a minute.
The pics below are right after I waxed it with Meguiar's wax, tire cleaner and interior cleaner. All worked decent, the wax was by far the best. I would highly recommend this wax, all you have to do is rub it in and it looks great. I have a few scratches I'm very nitpicky about but I'll have to make a post with a better camera showing them so RP or someone with equal knowledge can give me a heads up on a cheap and easy way to get rid of them. I am wary of the pencils or whatever that are for black paint you get at autozone, that just sounds too simple. The tire cleaner was just aerosol so we'll see how it lasts, I am used to the white foam, so far it's holding up well, and the can was neat (adjustable width). The battery actually died during the duration of it's cleansing, remember to turn the autolamps off while cleaning!
To clean the truck with just soap, I used one of BlackMagic's products, the actual liquid looks and smells nice (not that it matters :P). I almost forgot, I found a steering nibble at 90+mph, roughest at 95. I guess I'm "lucky", per say, that I don't have it at a lower speed :\

Whats up with leaving the bumpers chrome then?....do they offer to paint the bumpers as well?
