Underhood Insulation

Did anybody's truck come with this? Mine didn't and I'd like to find some, any hints?

Yeah a PN would be great, don't know why it didn't come with this.

simple fix -- dynamat. Available from most car audio shops. And they even have special heat resistant stuff for under the hood

I think it was an 05 change. My XLT does not.

there was another thread on this topic a bit ago- seems that early 04s may have it, then 05 FX4's Lariats, KR's have it standard

Nope, just dont like leather and most Lariets are 2 tone, I prefer solid black. I do wish I had the floor shifter. Other wise I am very happy with the XLT and the money I saved.

I agree, I also do not like two tone.

However when I ordered my Lariat (9/03) I was able to obtain it in Solid Black. It is very nice, a little hard to keep clean. Floor shifter is great also...

But when you clean a black one up, there is none sharper!

Mine was built 7/03, so i guess it must be only the early ones. Surprised to see Ford started cutting costs within the 04 model year.

I noticed when I bought mine that it was not there, but the truck is so quiet, I do not see how it could help any.
