Why [on earth] would you get the 4.6L over the 5.4L ?

I drove both and in my opinion the 4.6 is just too weak to power a 4x4 supercrew.
And besides, here in Florida (and maybe some other areas??) the 5.4 was a no-cost option with the tow-and-go discount! It was a no-brainer.

Im 20 and i still don't know why i didn't get the 5.4. I have about the same amount of money in my truck as i would of with the 5.4 and it still isn't as fast. It does a good burn out and slides corners pretty well though.

But I have the 4.6 for one reason. It was the nicest looking and most loaded 4x4 on the lot back then!!

i have had my truck with a 4.6L for over a year and a half now. 35,000 miles. I have towed a 20 foot bass boat up and down mountains, towed a 26' flat bed trailer with 2 cars on it. I have towed a dump trailer loaded with mountain stone no problem. And i have beaten a 5.4 from a stop to about 80 MPH. So i dont know why people talk so bad about 4.6L. I think just becuase you have a bigger engine makes you think you can talk down to someone with a smaller engine. just my imput.
