Ok Ready to lift..Opinions please...

I'm ready to lift my 04 FX4 Screw Black w/dark grey bottom. Have 17 x 10 Centerline Coolers with 35" BFG MT's mounted ready to go. Quesion is 4" lift or 6" lift? This is not "my husband's" truck this is my truck. Which is why I'm leaning towards the 4" lift. Don't want it to look too massive although I don't know why I'm thinking that when I used to drive his 99 F250 Screw with a 6" lift and 37" MT's. With the size rims and tires that I have, which lift will look more proportional?? Also...any good installers in Dothan, AL or surrounding area. Had lifts put on at 4 wheels parts in Jax, FL in past but was trying to avoid driving 4 hrs. Thanks for info!

Either way its not going to be matter, you won't be able to tell a difference in height with either of them. I went with the Rancho 4" though only because you can use up to a 6" backspacing on rims.

My vote is for the Rancho also because I have the 4" kit with RS9000 shocks and the ride is awesome. It is one of the more expensive kits though.

I also got the 4 Wheel Parts in Orlando to do the install for $2200 with tax and installation so Im sure you could get the one in Jacksonville to do it for the same price.

I was thinking the same thing but it won't work with my wheels, plus unless you upgrade the shocks, personally I believe the Ranchos are nicer but thats just my opinion.

If you have the money get the FabTech! They include Steering drop-down brackets AND a driveshaft spacer. I have the Rancho BUT if I had to do it all over again I would go FabTech. Rancho is very High quality and they lie when they say 4 inches...its really 5 1/2+ inches or so

Is the fabtech really that much better? I was thinking about going rancho. I dont care too much about height... I just want to clear 35's with no rubbing. I have no plans for anything more than 35's. I like the idea of keeping the stock springs and everything because I like the way it rides stock. Basicly.. what does the fabtech do better? Im just trying to get an idea of what features the fabtech has that make it the best lift. Thanks for all the info!!

Take a look at a picture of what the front end components looks like between the fabtech and the rancho. While the rancho might be a bit lower in price, the fabtech clearly should be more expensive as it includes more hardware. While both are very competant lifts, the fabtech is just a better product (albeit more expensive).
