King Ranch or Lariat? Opinions wanted

Not a 'goofy cowboy wanna be' here by any stretch... oh yeah, and I'm in my late 20's. LOL... I'm glad you have an opinion freeky...
Oh yes... I should mention that the KR will hold it's value better than a Lariat... not by a huge stretch but, any 'boutique' model (ie: Heritage, Harley, Amarillo) will do a little better at trade-in time... my 2001 KR brought 'considerably more' than what KBB or NADA had it listed for...this may not be the case for all of them but, I think it's very near the rule of thumb.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Lariats... my dad has one and it's very nice... just providing a little more 'back up' on my opinions versus just randomly flailing of gobbledygook without any backup.

I would've thought the King Ranch would have the homelink standard
Someone said the tan interior doesn't get dirty, were you talking about the tan in the Lariats (like mine?) or the "tan" of the King Ranches? What Im getting at here is if you were talking about the tan of the Lariats, I completely disagree with that. My driver seat looks like crap and I haven't even had the truck a year, it makes me want to just rip out all my interior and have a shop do the whole truck in some REAL leather.
PS: We have a lot of haters here, personally I think they are all beautiful trucks in their own ways, some people just need to stop trying to be internet bad-asses.
Well freeky, I like your truck, and no wonder you get many compliments from it. It's just not my style, and yes, I'm also a "rabid" King Ranch owner.
Americans enjoy the luxury of not only owning a wide range of makes of cars/trucks, but can buy the exact model that suits them and their life style. Even then, they can personalize it even further (like your wheel/tire combo) with aftermarket products.
KR owners cover a wide variety of people, as evidenced by reading the KR forum. I'm as old as Koolaid, but living in California and working as a computer professional, I don't think I qualify for the "goofy cowboy wanabe" moniker either.
In this thread alone, look how many members expressed a love/hate relationship with the interior color of the KR. Yet I get about as many compliments weekly as you about my KR. I'm willing to bet that more people like the interior than don't, but not everybody wants to pay extra for it. I'm finally at a point in my life where I can, and love the feeling everytime I slide behind the wheel.
Enjoy your truck, I'm sure as hell enjoying mine!

Sorry to all King Ranch owners. I really shouldn't log onto this forum when I have been drinking. I had more than my share last night and apologize for my comments. You guys are right...they are all F150's and I would drive any one of them. Honestly, that interior is pretty special. Even if it isn't to my taste, I can certainly see how anyone who rode in a King Ranch would be instantly impressed by the interior. Maybe my comments were out of jealousy...I just want to say I'm sorry and I am glad everyone likes his truck as much as I like mine. Keep on truckin' guys! We gotta' stick together against those Titan guys!

I think liking a King Ranch is like liking Country music; not for everybody. BUT! I must ask.....is there anybody in here who owns/likes the KR that DOESNT listen to country music. They just seem like they'd go hand in hand.

I listen to AM Sports Talk radio 99% and Classic Rock CD's that I make myself the other 1%.
I don't listen to Country or Western music.
One other reason the KR is a better choice than the Lariat.........Both seats are power and heated.
Another reason.........Power Fold Mirrors, with Puddle Lamps.
And on, and on, and on....
