I use the sliding back window everyday. Very nice after work to get in the truck and open up, sucks out all of the hot air quickly.

I never used it once and with some thiefs choice of entry I would say solid. My 2 year old son likes climbing through it to get to the bed. I would like the back window to be like the Sport trac.

I prefer the solid back glass. I like the clean look of it. My '03 has the slider and I used it about once a year.

Solid for sure. More secure, no rattles. Defrost is a big plus if you live where it gets cold alot.
As a nonsmoker, I rarely even roll down the windows with the a/c climate control, no need for another.

The rear window does make a nice draft with the front windows cracked, but it does seem to suck dust in as well.

Solid Back window with defrost. If you want to let all the hot air quickly you have the rear windows that go down now. Heated mirrors and rear defroster are possible with a solid rear window, don't know if heated mirrors alone are available with the slider.

If you can get the power sliding rear window, get a slider. I used the sliding rear window all of them time on my old Ranger, but I could reach it while I was driving. I miss that. I cannot reach the window in my F-150 without putting the truck in park and unbuckling. I only use it when I remember to open it before I get in the truck. About the only option I wish I had that I do not is the power slider. A moon roof would be nice too.

I think the solid window looks much better. That and I don't think that my slider has ever been opened.

I love the power slider...when coupled with the power moonroof, you have the best ventilation you could imagine.

I also prefer the solid window because of the clean look. Also, it is one less thing to rattle or break. The only truck that I have ever had with a sliding rear window was a reg. cab Ranger. It was nice in that truck because you could easily reach stuff in the bed that was near the cab. In the Supercrew F-150, I see little need for a sliding rear and I will really appreciate the rear defroster once it gets cold outside.
