My last roommate owned a is300 which i got to drive a handful of times. That car isnt anything to worry about, not very fast, not very quick. It's low end Lexus....believe me.

well if the lexus is governed at 144....the f150 (ungoverned with enough power) could barrel past that.....with a 3.73 and stock SIZE tires, these trucks have a MATHEMATICAL top speed of about 182 with a 5000 rpm max piston speed......but unless you had a supercharger or something the truck would have a hard time overcoming 140 due to wind and rolling resistance.

i was reading some car mag the other day and was looking at a 4 page list of all the specs of pretty much every new car there is. the fastest stock production car is a enzo that only runs high 12's i think. it was only stock car to break 13's. so these trucks aint fast but there not just slow. they do feel very slow tho

You may want to go back an RE-read that magazine. These are just a few factory American made cars UNDER 12 seconds:
2006 Z06 Vette - 11.3
2004 Viper - 11.77
2005 Ford GT - 11.78
and honorable mention to the 2004 Cobra -12.9 (thats enzo times in your book)

and BTW the Enzo runs 11.0s. Like I said you may want to re -read your magazine.

well in a sence you both are right.....sometimes the car testers will test out the cars at higher altitudes.....ive seen different magazines give different results....and 9 times our ot 10 the magazine with the slower test results post that their test elevation was higher

Two tenths maybe....not two SECONDS. The difference between 13sec and 11sec is HUGE .

A stock 2001 IS300 runs 15.3's. How long exactly have they been making the IS300's...come on now, can't be that old. You're truck cannot be in the low 15's with those mods.

If he has enough money for a $12K stereo PLUS all these mods then I think he can afford a freakin' digital camera and post some pictures.
