Talking 05 F150 installed Pioneer 80MP, Alpine V12 amp, Rockford speakers

About a month ago I had my buddy from best buy install a good sounding stereo in my truck. It cost me about $1600.00 installed so not to bad. Head unit is a Pioneer 80MP

I replaced all my stock speakers with Rockford Fosgate T1682C 6x8 2-way speakers. (all 4 speakers)

This is what makes these speakers sound Great. Alpine V12 Amp.

So what do you guys think?. I am looking for a different place to put my amp because its under the rear seat on the floor.

Ian

Some guy around here mounted the amp behind the rear seat. Rumor has it there is enough room to do it, but make sure you have your amp tweaked just right before you bury it back there!

I was able to mount one of my amps (my 4-channel) behind the seat. had to mount it low on the wall in order to fit the seat backing back on...what a pain in the *** getting the seat in and out though!! heres what i used to get the seat in and out if you end up going that rout...good luck!

I was thinking about putting it behind the seat but as said before if you need to tweak on the amp your screw. I have heard the V12 amp is pretty hard to get it just right because its an all digital 4 channel amp. I wish ford would of made the rear back seat fold down. I will prolly end up putting it behind the back seat because I cant figure out any other place without having to get longer wires.

Hey usetogm Alpine V12 Amp

usetogm....can you tell me which Alpine V12 Amp you used? I searched for Alpine V12 and it looks like there are alot of different model numbers for the Alpine V12. What model did you install? I tried to send you a message. This site will not allow me to send you a message because I have not been a member long enough to do that.

Thanks

I have 2 amps behind my rear seat (on the wall). I can fit 3, I've had 3 back there plus to huge xovers for my PowerLines.

If you mount your amp behind the back seat, make sure you your rear window/brake light doesn't leak.

I think you spent way too much. I looked up that amp, if it is a MRV-345, I see them going for around $300. Head unit is right at $300 and the speakers $130 a set. So that's around $900
