newbie needs to fill the wheel wells

Hello everyone,

Wifes truck and she's a 5' but loves F150's on her 4th. she has a 04 SC 4X4 limited all black and hates the big wheel wells which make the 18" look way to small. A lift kit would make daily driving for the 5' little lady not practical.

Any advice for big as I can go with a stock truck? I see people metion a leveling kit? Is this a standard easy bolt on deal?

Well any wheel size advice and tire info would be great (lots of highway so no screaming tires prefered).

Mods so far
Bassini and Alternative Performance tune (X box)

Is the truck a 4x4 or 4x2? The Autospring leveling kit is probably the most popular here because of ease of installation. It just bolts on top of the front coilover shocks. As for tire fitment, several members have fit 35x12.50's on 4x4's by using the stock wheels and a 2.5 inch leveling kit. However, if she is short, this may not be the route you want to go. Have you considered going the other direction? These trucks look great lowered. You could install a set of 2 inch lowering shackles on the rear and a set of 22 or 24 inch wheels with beefy tires to fill the wheelwells. Either way is cool. You just need to decide which direction to go.

Sorry about that yes its a 4X4, She likes a tough looking truck (lucky me). Her budget is 3,500 for wheels and tires.

I would suggest going with a 2.5 inch Autospring leveling kit and a set of 33 inch all terrian tires, if she wants the off road look. Don't forget a set of nerf bars so she can climp into it! Some of the better all terrian tires are the BFG AT KO, Nitto Terra Grappler and Toyo Open Country AT. A set of 18x9 inch wheels (with around 5 inches of backspacing) and a set of 33's would look sweet.

1 5/8" leveling kit and 35" tires on ANY 17", 18", or 20" x 8.5" MB Motoring Wheel.

If you want to use the OEM 18" x 7.5" wheels, you will need 1/4" spacers up front which will still rub at full lock and something I don't recommend for safety reasons.

There are other combos of course but I think MB has the best fitment (width and backspacing) for stuffing the tallest & widest tires possible without using a lift AND maintain full articulation and zero bind.

Or, a set of 20x10 with 4.5" backspacing and a set of 33x13.5's!

I've got 18x9 wheels with 5.5" backspacing on 33x13.50s. I wouldn't even bother getting 35s if all your going to run a leveling kit only because it'll create more problems than good if you use different wheels, as long as you keep stock wheels you could run the 35s and have minimal problems. Another thing is everyone here mentioned Autospring but no one recomended Daystar so Im going to, the Daystar is an excellant product and they've been around for a while. I've got the 2.5" kit and it sits about .5" lower in the front than the rear. I hope this helped.

Do you have any steering wheel vibration issues with those Toyos? I have 20x8.5 rims and I've had the 305/55R20 Terra Grapplers and have the 285/55R20 BFG A/Ts right now. Both are great looking tires, but both have given me the vibration problem. My stock tires/wheels don't seem to be nearly as bad. I may just have one of the more sensative trucks. I was thinking of trying the Toyos. Are those the 305/55R20 or the 275/60R20 on your truck?

Thanks
