I had squeaks initially but I fixed it.
My squeaks came from the fact that the head was slightly rubbing against the inside of the bezel. You need to square it up and align it so it totally clears. It it a tight fit since the new kit fits so close, but it can be fixed. Just tweak it and test fit until there are no more squeaks.

Make sure the little thin plastic disks are still on all of the anchor tabs. these are designed to fight squeeks.

When you take it off can you access that coin pocket to the left? I am thinking about adding another 12v outlet like I heard the LT has, this is where I am adding my IPOD and bracket....just did not know if I could access it from there...I wonder if there is a wireing harness for that already?

there is a nylon tool specifically for ford dashes...google search ford dash tool...about 8 bucks..definately takes the scary part out of removing dash...btw...what is up with the cowl vent just flopping against the windshield...talk about noisy....added some rubberized shelf material for RVs to add cushion between vent and windshield

You only need to get the radio bezel off which has been covered. In case someone searching in the future digs up this thread for another reason, here's a picture for them:

Hey TX150,

A little off topic, but what program do you use to add the arrows and text to your pictures?

Great pics and instructions TXF150. I was just getting ready to install the PIE unit and you saved me a lot of aggravation.

I don't know where you can get them, but I know the dealer cannot get them for you-they come with the panel (which runs +/- $85)
