$479 is what my windshield cost with the F150 logo that is freakin invisible to anyone and everyone. Of course I had 0 deductible so it was free.

Even if you don't have zero on your comprehensive lets say a guy were to change just his comp deductible to 0 and a few daysor weeks later had a nasty crack in his windshield, man that would be too bad.

Thanks for the all the info. I contacted my ins. and the only thing they will cover at a "no-deductible" rate is a repair. I am going to try this first, it it can't be repaired then I will look for a good glass dealer carrying OEM windshields.

I am an auto glass installer and as far as insurance coverage is concerned many states do not offer glass coverage even with full coverage insurance. There are only a few states where insurance will totally pay for the new windshield. Try a good shop in your area find out about the insurance situation first. If it's not covered the new one will should be between $300 to $400 depends on the shop you deal with and how much bus. they do. kinda works like wal-mart with glass shops the more bus they do the better price they get on the glass. One word of advise DO NOT use safelite They make their own glass that is very thin and inferior quality. most reputable glass shops get their glass from Pilkington, PPG, or LOF all of whom supply manufacturers with their glass. Those 3 suppliers also put the f-150 logo on their glass, they also make the ones that say super duty. Hope this helps.
