I hear ya..that will be nice to pin capt on. I was in for 6 years. The best 6 years of my life man, I kick myself now for getting out. If I would've stayed in I couldf retire next year. But I cant look back now. Some days I wish I could get back in.
I spent 3 years in Minot ND..which honestly was an awesome 3 years. The I went to England for a year and a half and then to Germany for a year and a half. Man that was fun.

EDIT..OH BTW, I was lowly enlisted..not commissioned.

That's cool ! Thanks for your service BTW! I was also enlisted for 5 years. I've been in almost 9 years now. I hear what you're saying about wishing you stayed in. But I gotta tell you, I'd love to get out! It has really gotten to be constant stress these days. I'm almost half way though, so I guess I'll ride it out. As an officer I move every 3 years. That's gonna get old fast. All in all thought I guess it's a pretty good career.

O got out cause at the time the president was cutting back on the pensions and all the benefits, so I figured I d better get out while I could. A buddy of mine stayed 13 years and then got out. He said he just couldnt stand it anymore
