Tow a bronco?

I have an 05 ext cab with auto trans and 4.6.It has the factory tow package as well.I want to tow a 89 full size bronco about 80 miles. It would be on a trailer not a 2 wheel dolly.Any problems with this tow?Can the truck take it?

As long as you got the vehicle centered correctly on the trailer, i dont seem to have a problem towing anything in my truck

You should not have any problems at all.

If you have trailer brakes and a controller, you won't even notice.

No brake controller? Still very doable, but keep the speeds to 65. Starting is no problem, it is just the stopping part that can get tricky in an emergency.

I did the same thing. Bought a 93 full size Bronco about 160 miles away. Towed very well down the highway at about 65-70 mph.

Adrianspeeder,
Bravo for choosing to serve your country (especially in the AF)! I'm a Maintenance Officer on the C-5 at Dover. What career field are you looking at?

I'm studying electrical engineering, thanks for noticing!

The broncos can be portly, I ran the 92 over a truck scale once, and with all my tools and crap it came out to 5900. Gotta remember there is a 33 gallon tank back there too.
