Back in the day when I did soft covers, I always liked the snaps... looks better and just as easy to put on/take off. I really think it boils down to they looks.

I've had a few soft covers over the years. Tried different fasteners; all of them were total pains in the rear end except for snaps. Snaps were easiest to use, and strongest as well.

I got the velcro this time, The cover I had for the Ranger had what I call half and half snaps.

The snaps on the cover were metal, but the base on the rail was plastic. Supposed to keep them quiet, no rust, ect. But on a hot day and in a hurry I actually cut the Plastic bottoms with the metal tops trying to pop them on. Had to call and beg for some replacements.

Made sure to get them square before popping them on in the future, got a Truxedo for the F-150 and LOVE it!!!

Snapless all of the way . Not only does it give the truck a clean finish look, it is so easy to take off and on, way faster than the snaps. I don't at all like the look of the snap buttons every few inches either. Just my 2 cents.

I hated the snaps when I use to borrow my Brother in-laws ranger. In the Winter forget it. I would pull and pull and could never get the last 1 or 2 snaps done.

snapless is a cleaner look, however there have been situations where the covers have flown off the trucks on the highway becasue they were not done up properly (unlike the firm 'click' of attaching snaps)

Well since im using the Extang full tilt...when i take it off, it will probably be the whole cover in one peice. Doubt i'll roll it up often. Soo..with that said, i might actually go with the snaps just to save some money since its not a huge deal.

Hey Devin........ heven't checked in for awhile, glad to hear you're going for the full-tilt..... you're gonna love it. I myself have the tilt with snaps. No problems and like you said, with the tilt feature the snaps aren't needed most times anyways, especially in the winter. An earlier poster mentioned a top with snaps that had plastic side rails, etc... well, the full-tilt is all metal and the snaps are heavy duty!! Good luck bro.
