While we are on this subject, our system contains 4 (four) "filters" in the fuel system...
  • intake side of pump, cannot service
  • fuel rail port, cannot service
  • inlet of fuel pressure regulator, cannot service
  • frame rail mounted between service valves and fuel tank, can service (duh)

I have a 05 screw with a 30 gallon tank and the gas gauge will read empty but when I fill it up there will be 7-9 gallons still in the tank, I have talked to dealer twice about this and they tell me which they gave me the print out from ford, that crazy gas gauge is due to regional areas with bad gas causeing the sending unit to act crazy and all you have to do is run some chevron fuel cleaner in a couple of tanks and that should take care of the problem... Only problem is my truck only has 6k miles on it... And it even says in the ford print out that they dont really know what to do about it... Nice should have thrown that little bit in when they were throwing that sales mojo on me...

I never saw that in my manual. I always fill her until she spits it out. Guess I need to go back to "that little book that came with the truck"

So far i have only seen the little computer say low fuel level. In my ranger i could go all the way below E and still have gas. How far can you go on this beast before she runs dry?
You still have not answered the question!

Where did you find a truck that will run 1,250 miles on a tank of gas?

I can only get around 350, tops.

Yeah so far I get anywhere between 350-365 per fill up. Just put $57 in it yesterday OUCH!! at $2.79 a gallon here in Mississippi.

I now walk around with a dent in my wallet.

I felt so stupid! i had to leave it there and go get gas....haah
Hahaha. That gave me a grin ear to ear.

Your lucky spending $57. I'll fill yours if you fill mine....
$89 at last fill up. About 32 gallons. Normally, I'm around $100 to fill up the entire tank, 34-35 gallons. Makes you think twice about buying a scooter.
