I thought the F-150 usually idles at 700-800 rpms. Not really sure what you're asking but it looks normal to me.

that's normal, don't worry about it. mine did the smae thing after the update. i think they bumped up the idle rpm in park for what ever reason. as soon as i shift out of park it drops to around 500-550.

That's not too hard to understand.....I read that as to say that when you are idling, in park, parking brake on, the tach reads "0". Sounds like you have a problem......

If I understand this, the engine is running, but the tach shows ZERO? That's not right. Try to sweep the gauges, if that don't fix it, take it back and let the dealership handle it.

I suspect our friend 'radz' has absolutely no clue what a tachometer is or what it indicates. 'rpm' is the abbreviation for 'revolutions per minute'. A revolution is one complete turn of the crankshaft in your engine. If your tachometer indicates 0 rpm, then that means your engine is stopped. If the engine is running, it is not stopped.

his picture clearly shows the truck in park, parking brake on, heading of NE with a temp of 81F, spedo at zero and the truck idling a hair under 750. that's normal. if radz is confused between the spedo and tach he needs to be riddin' a bike.
