FINALLY!! Airforce 1 installed-Impressions

Well finally got the Air Force 1 in the mail today...could hardly believe it, because I'v waited so long! Materials of the kit seem very well made, very high quality stuff. Installation was SIMPLE, i would have had it installed in about 20-30 minutes...I had the same peoblem as others have had with the air-flow sensor not fitting in the hole in the Airforce tube...I ended up having to use a drill-bit to grind the edges in order for the sensor to slide in....other than that, everything was very straightforward...

As far as the road test, AWESOME!! I have a exhaust as well as a XCAL2 with the 91-Performance program loaded...WOW! This combo is amazing, they compliment eachother so well. I noticed an immediate low-end improvement as well as INSTANT throttle response, the fun starts around 2500RPM, everything starts working together at this point i think, the 5.4 really feels like it wants to jump out of the hood..THIS is how a ford engine should run!! At about 2500 or so the ole 5.4 starts to really suck in some air and fuel and (thanks to MIKE TROYER the engine runs like it should) flat out TAKES OFF, the roar from the Airforce is worth the 300 bucks alone..

I honestly cant wait to pull up next to a Hemi now Its all over.....

Those of you thinking about this combo of mods...DO IT...you will have a completely different truck...And as far as an intake?? This thing looks sweet, sounds awesome, and looks like it is very well made..... Man i love my truck

Sounds good!

I'm between doing intake or e-fans after I purchase my Xcal2. Can't decide but that's months away.

Intel,

You can do your fans for about 120.00. I custom installed mine.

Used dual fans out of a 2000 LS1 Camaro. Bought them for 75.00 at a junkyard (excellent condition) then purchased a 35.00 fan relay switch. Extra hardware was about 20.00. Made my own brackets, wired it up and it was done.

I too just put the AF1 in my truck with the Xcal 2 running a 93 octane performance program. I actually laughed out loud when I opened her up for the first time. Makes you feel like a real man!!! The intake and tuner are made for each other
