Flex-a-lite efans installed today
If they don't both come on or they are only at 60%, I would make it to where when I have the A/C on, which is always, they would both be on at 100%. I am all about being as cool as possible here in Austin, Texas! We need all the help we can get on most summer, and even some winter, days!

I am sure the ones that troyer sells are good but I did do a little comparison shopping when I was trying to deside. the few things I liked better about the flex-a-lite. is as fallows.
flexalite 270 efans versus troyer efans
1. 5500 cfm rateing versus 5000 cfm rating
2. fan shroud built into fans pulling air through whole radiator versus two fans sealed up against the radiator. pulling ait only through the aria in font of each fan.
3. lower startup amperage.
4 fans at start up run both fans but only at 60 percent, air through whole radiator versus one fan comeing on cooling only a small part of the radiator.
dont get me wrong I am not trying to knock troyer's fans I have heard alot of good things about his fans. but my research led me to believe the flex-a-lite fans were better. and sense I tow sometimes I wanted I got the best possible electric cooling out there.

ok I have put a few miles on these new efans and thought I would let you know my experience with them so far. well the but dyno dosn't say alot of hp gain maybe 8-10 hp. about the same as when added my magnaflow exhaust. as far as the performance the fans cool my ac bettter than the stock fan did in city driveing. the only negative thing I have noticed so far is that when I got the ac blowing full blast at a light idleing at 550 rpm the fans draw enough juice to slow my inside ac fans down considerably. as soon as I step on the gas and get the rpms up arround 750 rpm they are blowing full speed again. I think there would be issues if I had the headlights on and the ac blowing full blast. so either I need to get my idle increased to 750 or I need to get a smaller pully for my alternator or I need a bigger alternator. I am thinking of looking into the smaller pully as increasing the idle rpms will hurt my gas mileage especially sense most of my driveing is in city. stop and go. any one know a good place to find such a thing.
Bigger alternator won't help. I had a similar issue with my '99 Ranger with an e-fan and underdrive pulley. Upgraded to a 140-amp alt, no improvement. Went with a smaller pulley for the alternator, and problem was solved.
ok I did some searching and didn't find anyone selling overdrive pulleys for our trucks. you would think if one knew what diameter a pulley they wanted they could find one pretty easy. I measured my stock pulley it is 2 3/8 inches diameter. I figure I need to find something arround a 2 inch pulley for my alternator. can someone tell me where I can find these. I am not haveing much luck finding them on the net.
