Schefenacker Vision Systems’ F-150 telescoping trailer tow mirror is now a ‘Genuine Ford Accessory’. The mirrors are now available as a natural compliment to the vehicles optional towing package. Because of these synergies, as well as the mirror’s safety and appearance attributes, Ford and Schefenacker anticipate that consumers are likely to order a telescopic trailer tow mirror when a towing package is chosen.

The Telescopic Trailer Tow Mirrors are designed for a clean, aerodynamic, factory-fitted appearance. They are built for toughness and tested to Ford’s specifications. They replace a truck's original exterior mirrors and slide easily with up to 4-1/2 inches of outward adjustment. This allows most drivers to see past loads up to 102 inches wide, making it ideal for towing. Graduation markings on the arm covers help remind the driver how much telescoping is needed to see past the load. In addition, the mirrors can fold rearward and forward against the vehicle, allowing access to tight spaces.

The mirrors are manual telescoping and available in four choices: 1) Manual, 2) Electric, 3) Electric, heat, turn signal & clearance light with polished black cover that can be painted to match the vehicle, and 4) Electric, heat, turn signal & clearance light with chrome cover.

The Manual mirror features two mirror elements -- a large, flat main glass and a separate, wide-view adjustable spotter mirror. The Electric mirror’s large main glass is electrically adjustable on vehicles originally supplied with electric mirrors.

The top of the line is the Electric, heat, turn signal & clearance light mirror. In addition to the aforementioned features, heated glass helps ensure rearward visibility in icy conditions. In addition, this mirror offers LED turn signal lights that increase awareness for other vehicles of the driver's intention to turn or change lanes. LED clearance lights turn on with the vehicle’s night driving lights. Vehicles can be upgraded to have the clearance light option.

A wide range of replacement parts are also available if a mirror is accidentally damaged, and although customers may be able to install the mirrors themselves, Schefenacker recommends professional installation by their local Ford dealership.

So are they exactly the same as the aftermarket Schefenacker TTT mirrors for the 04-05 F150's? A few months back I bought a set, and just wondering if they will be identical, or of they made any changes...
