I too hate the seats, I hate the cushions, I hate the mounting angle and most of all I hate the forking fabric.

I have a 04 stx, drove it from Pittsburgh, Pa to Texas, with only 3000 miles on it, this was the most comfortable trip i ever made! 5-6 hrs non stop driving each sitting, and no fatigue or pain. Make sure you are properly adjusting your lumbar supports, or you will have problems. The proper way to set them is to deflate them completely, and then reinflate just until you can barely feel them touch your back. they should not be sticking into your back, or in other words putting pressure on it, as this will be worse than not using them at all.

That doesnt fix the hard seat under my a$$. When talking to other local F150 owners the seats are by far the biggest complaints, but it seems the people with cloth find them more uncomfortable than those with leather? If the trucks value wasnt crap from these employee incentives Id think about trading for a F250 just because of these seats, they make my heiney raw..lol

I've had the same this with my lower back during longer drivers of an hour or more in my Lariat with the captian chairs. I used to have the lumbar support cranked where you couldn't feel it and now I have it all the way out and don't have any more problems with my lower back hurting during longer drives.

I find myself leaning the seat back like a PR in a Honda Civic just so my neck won't hurt on long drives. and what gives with this leather anyways? Mine is getting real loose on the seat and I clean and condition them every other week with Lexol!

Do you have the electric controls? If so, lean the seat bottom back, this is what I did. I too felt like they made me lean forward a bit, but not now.

I agree, the seat position when I first bought the truck was a bit uncomfortable. I have a power drivers seat, and adjusted the front angle up a bit and leaned the seat back a tad, and took the lumbar support almost all the way out. It made a big difference. I don't have any problem with the seats being uncomfortable overall, they were a tad stiff at first but are breaking in nicely.

I do have a problem with the pedals being too close to the seat, I'm 6ft2 and have long legs, the steering wheel doesn't come out and the pedals don't go in, so I'm stuck. But I'm getting used to it now, was just a different possition to hold my leg in that bothered me for the first 5k miles on long trips.

I don't have any idea what you could use for complete seat replacements, but you'd probably be better off just getting the existing seats re-cushoned and upholstered at a local place. Might be a bit more expensive in the long run, but you'll get exactly the look and feel you want, and you can pick what kind of cushon you want too. Just a thought.

speaking of seats...figure this one out. My 04 FX4 Screw has the captains w/leather and my buddy has the 04 Lariat Screw captains/leather...however...he has the seatbelt located in the seat above his outside shoulder. Mine are located on the pillar. Anyone know the reason for the discrepency? Is this a year model thing and I just never noticed it till now?
