truck looks great!! your stereo doesnt even look like a 6 disc, just looks like a plain jane CD player

 

Just a thought.....
Since the dealer drove the truck first maybe they swapped out the CD player with the mp3 to a different truck.

Nice truck! It is possible that they did just swap out radios. Here is something I would check. Look under the back seat to see if there is an audiophile sub under there. And you could also pop one of the FRONT speaker grilles off (VERY easy, just pry back at the little notches around the grille) and see if there is a tweeter in that hole on top. If you got the tweeter and the sub, then you got audiophile and the wrong headunit. If you don't have a sub or the tweets, then you payed for an option you didn't get!!

EDIT: I noticed this, I have yet to see a truck with the step bars I got. I did not have the bright tubular running board option on my window sticker, so I guess these were dealer installed. They look a little different and curve in at each end instead of being rectangular all the way back, and there is more chrome on them.

 

I have the exact same steps,mine wre dealer installed also.
Thats what I have also, so you better go find your red one at your local dealer

Nice to see someone with the same taste as I have! I also got mine from the manager of the dealership - had about 1500 miles on it and had none of the issues that you see posted on here that other trucks have. Maybe having the manager drive it for a bit works out well cause he will get the problems fixed for sure!

Congrats on your FX4! I'm new here as well and I ordered a '06 identical to yours. The big difference is mine is white. As far as mods, I'd say bed liner and window tint right off the bat.

I took my t-ruck into the dealership today to have the spray-in bedliner put in through their people. I told the salesman about the head unit, he looked at it, said "holy smokes" and said he would fix it. Well, I dropped by the Ford dealership to see if they had the Rhino-liner complete and they didn't. But I did look inside and they put in the correct head unit. On that note...

Since I porbably won't get my truck back tomorrow, I guess I'll have to keep driving the 05 F-250 they gave me as a loaner. This behemoth has a sweet 6.0L V8 Turbo Diesel. What an awesome engine...the thing pulls like a locamotive. Are they trying to spoil me and make me impulse buy an F-250?
