33" Tires on Stock Wheels

I KNOW this has been discussed but there are many new members and many who have modded their trucks since this was last discussed.

The Story:

I have a 2wd screw that I am going to put lift blocks from a 4x4 on as well as the Autosping 2.5" leveling kit. I would like to put 33" tires on the stock rims because I do not want to buy new rims.

The Questions:

Is anyone running 33" tires on their trucks?
If, so how are they wearing? Any other complaints?

Are there any 33" tires available yet that will fit the 7.5" rim? Our has anyone heard rumors about who will be coming out with them?

Thanks in advance for any help.

The 285/70-17 or 285/65-18 BFG AT KO would be perfect. Both are approximately 33x11.50 tires.

i have the 285 bfg at's. they wear good, they're quite and are good in the rain, snow and on/off-road. these are a very good all-around tire. the only complaint i have is that they have a tendancy to pick up and hold small rocks.

I have some pics in my gallary at FTW showing my treadwear at 40,000 miles on my BFG's. Just go there and narrow the filter down to 2001, lifted 4x4's, from GA and search for "Wandell's Screw and Expy".

I have the same BFg's as 04fx4, good tires but they pick up rocks......

Mine are on 17" rims, I think my wheels are just a tad shorter than 33", there isn't and rubbing and I didn't get the spacer lift.

I also looked at the Mud-Terrains, I think they are just a tad talller than 33", but they looked like they'd be loud as hell and I don't think they are very good on ice/snow.
