Well i have an oversized garage (24'x26')with an oversized garage door (18') but i still cant park my truck in the garage, to much crap in the way to actually park a vehicle.
Im in the process of planning a bigger garage with a loft so i have a place for the junk, and my workshop, and of course the vehicles!

yea, look at the pics i posted (the first group are out side, and my last post was inside of the garage.)

Im pretty sure everyhouse in my subdivision has this 9ft door, they were all built by the same builder.

 

Actually when i look on lowes website, they have 5 garage doors. 4 of them are 9ft and one 8ft

When we sat down to lay out the garage addition with our contractor a couple years ago he gave us a few options, including 1 and 2 door configurations, I wanted a 2 door setup with the widest doors that would work with the space available. We ended up with 9X7 doors and they are wide enough to squeeze the truck in. The 19 foot depth is just deep enough to get around the truck. I like garaging my vehicles, living in Ohio its really nice in the winter, I bought the Regular cab/shortbox specifically for its garage-ability.

 

The first couple of weeks I folded the driver mirror in on my 05 XLT to get into the same spot as my 98 (single third bay of a 3 holer/only one deep enough for the rig). Got tired of that and decided the KR power folders would be a PITA to install so I just did some fancy steering wheel work and finally became an expert at "sliding it in" (with an inch to spare when the door comes down). I don't smoke, but I find I need a cigarette every time I come home since I bought this thing.




(And I have to slide it in at an angle......)

 

I have never understood why people by expensive vehicles only to park them outside so they can put boxes and bicycles in their garage. Seems the logical thing would be to protect your 40K depreciation item. Buy/Build an 12x12 storage room and store your stuff in there or, add the drop down storage system from the ceiling of your garage...Lots of space to store stuff if you add a platform to your ceiling. I actually saw a garage the other day that had a lift in it....Had a muscle car on the lift that raised it up and then a vette parked under it....2 car garage that he fit 3 cars in....

Glad to hear you’re finally an official member of the new F-150 club. Yes, these trucks are big! I’ve been driving full size Ford trucks since 1995 (and Rangers for long before that), and this is the first one I shudder to pull into an ATM with.

Fortunately, all new F-150’s come with a power folding mirror system. (Some folks are actually dumb enough to pay for an optional one.) The “free” system is much easier to operate though. Simply drive (or back) into a tight situation at your normal speed. As your side mirrors “sense” that they are close enough to something to need to fold out of the way – they will. One advantage to the optional system though is that you can then fold your mirrors back out. The “free” system requires a trip to the body shop. Enjoy your new truck! You’ll get used to the additional width quickly.

 

HAD, I only had each of those 3 vehicles one at a time. Still have the navigator. I trade a lot
