Has anyone used Pro Clip ?
Has anyone used Pro Clip ?
Has anyone used a ProClip in there Screw to install a Sat Radio, I saw the clip here used somewhere else and order one for my truck, from the looks of the pics the plate attachted to the clip was pushed on after but it os not, it comes as one full piece and it looked like you have to screw through the bracket into the plate which will not be easy.
I do not really want to use 2 way tape because with a Black truck and Black interior it seperates with the heat and falls apart.
This is a pic of the bracket, what I am looking for is suggestions on how to mount the radio cradle to it without having to use 2 way tape ?
Any suggestions ?

hey big moss.. check out my gallery, you can see how i mounted my sirius.. I looked online and found alot of differnet ways to mount this.. but to me.. i like my idea the best.. one clips on the right side of your stereo blockin the passenger vent, which i didnt like, they also said some were puttin them on the center hump..wtf?? i didnt get that spot~.. oh well. hope this helps..
i just added the doc pic, i didnt have it in there.. its hard to see but its screwed down .and lays flush on the front.. in that pic it looks like the black liner is warped, but its not.. i promise~.. it was a nice install and its really easy to see, read and change channels without takin your eyes off the road~

Hey Chris thanks for the reply, I had a look and that is a nice mount, if I owned my truck thats what I would do, but I leased it and work with it. I have to park in some bad areas and that is too noticeable and would probably get stolen.
I have the proclip already in hand now and I know a few people here used it did a search but did not come up with anything. Just do not like the 2 way tape as it always comes apart and falls off with the heat issue.

The linky didn't work for me...
I'm utilizing a mount from Pro Mount for my MyFi XM unit... I really like it and it's custom for the F-150. Here are a few pics:

Also, there's a BOATLOAD of info in this thread.

Rock,
That actually looks like a nice clip!! I may need to look further into this.
but, on a side note, for god SAKES man...turn your dash vents in the same direction before taking a picture. Don't sully your rep by getting lazy now

I have two. I got the one for the left side of the console for my XM radio and the one for the left side of the steering wheel for my cell phone.
I disassembled the XM car mount and mounted it right to the Proclip. I did not use the double sided tape, the mount is very tight. (I may change my mind when it heats up here in Atlanta.)
The positioning is just within arm's reach and I don't have to shift my eyes too far off the road.
I have had them in for about three weeks & so far, so good.

Check out all sorts of mounts at www.myradiostore.com
I used the same mount as Rockpick, and recommend it highly. Literally one existing screw to mount it.

I'll take a non-adhesive, completely removable installation with no noticeable changes over an adhesive or bulky one any day.
To each his own. Whatever you do, get satellite radio.
I got the same one as RP and DAThomas from myradiostore.com I mounted mine to the left of the ashtray (attaches with 1 screw) as I wanted the MyFi closer to me and not so high up (on the right upper side of radio) and so far away. I can rest my hand on the shifter and adjust the MyFi.
I had to bend the mount just a little to get it to clear the mounts for the tabs on the bezel.
Get the Vehicle Specific Mount for the 04 -05 F150. The Universal mount from Bracketron (~$30 at Best Buy) would require some fabbing and I couldn't see an easy way to do it. Had to return that one...
The 04 VSM/Pro Fit does push the bezel off center a little, but not much.
Got camera problems (still), or I would take a picture. $@%@@!! camera....
