Cleaning the Seats!! HELP ME!!

I like a majority of the people here have the Grey Cloth seats (I can't stand them) well anyway I have stains all over them from my kids after taking them to the pool and them getting the seats wet. What is the best way to get them to look like new again. I would get the leather seat covers but I have an STX and the front has the seat in the middle and the back doesnt have the armrest. HELP ME!!

The best way to tackle these light gray seats is with a 'steam cleaner' I have a Hoover (189 bucks at Best Buy). I have owned a couple of the Bissel units, but they broke more often than a used Fiat.

If you use some of the 'wonder chemicals' that everyone recomends, first try it somewhere that won't ruin your day if it doesn't work out.

Also, when cleaning these seats, it seems best if (after determining the stuff is safe) you do the whole seat at one time. That way any little color changes during the job will be even.

I'm trying to find some nice leather, or leather looking covers for the 40-20-40 with the built in seat belt. If I indeed find any, I will post.
Good luck with it
Chris

I have the tan cloth seats. How to clean them really depends on the type of stain though. Mostly, I clean mine with water only. It does a really good job on most common stuff (dirt, coke, etc) For grease type stains, I use a dab of Orange GoJo hand cleaner. Tuff Stuff upholstery cleaner is pretty fair, but I personally dont like the smell of it. These cloth seats do tend to "mark" easy, but so far my stains have been easy to get rid of.

My dealer applied some stain shield as part of the sale. Sure glad he did!

My Bissel little green machine works wonders.

No break downs yet.

Pick up a can of Bluemagic Carpet Stain and Spot Lifter, Great stuff. It's taken all kind of stains out of my carpet and I used it on the seats of my 97 150 but I haven't used it on the seats of my 04 yet.

I did mine about 2 weeks ago with "Resolve", worked pretty good. Only drawback was the time it took for the seats to dry after using the water and sponge.
