They don't yet make one for the flareside. Supposedly they are working on one.

I just order my Fold-a-Cover, $520 + 65 for shipping. Plus a free tailgate gasket.

does anyone have the extang full tilt? please provide information - pros, cons, any help would be appreciated. i really like the idea of it. easy to take off, no drilling, can take snaps off it you want, or it just lifts up like a regular tonneau. it seems like the best of all worlds. yet i'd really like to hear opinions. thanks

Cheap works for me.

Well, I guess I am cheap... But I got the Ford one (when Ford was giving away $1000.00 in free accessories when you purchased your truck). It's the snapless one (looks kind of like a big ziplock bag).

It works great, keeps the rain out, easy to remove. The only thing is that it doesn't roll very nicely when you need to use your truck bed. You need a friend to help you if you want to roll it tight.

Aside from that, I have no complaints... But again, I"m not to picky...

If I were to do it again, I'd get the roll-up hard tonneau cover. THey seem pretty slick.

I looked at covers for some time. Really wanted the fiberglass A.R.E. but did not have the money at the time.
I wound up getting the Extang Full Tilt (Snapless). It works really good & comes off in a breeze in case you need to completely remove the cover.

928gt,
Is that bull bar from pushrodsforever? They sell them on ebay a lot.
If so how does it fit? Hows the finish?

SmokestoneF150,

>Is that bull bar from pushrodsforever?

Yes.

>They sell them on ebay a lot.

They said they have a bunch available, seem to be nice guys and were even willing to let me return it if didn't fit my FTX front correctly.

>If so how does it fit?

It would fit a stock F-150 perfectly, my FTX front is different and it fit mine also, but I wanted mine closer to the bumper and with a little trimming of the circumfrerence of the round mount pad with my plasma cutter I was able to use the rear frame mount holes and get it within 3/4" of the "bumper". With the closer fitment the "skid plate" would not clear my FTX front at the bottom , but I like it better without it since it looks "cleaner" to me.

>Hows the finish?

TOP NOTCH, this is real 304 Stainless and the TIG welding and fabrication couldn't be any better. For what it is worth I am in the automotive aftermarket business (furr'n cars) and can recognize quality workmanship.

>Sorry for the question's, but your the first truck with that bull bar. That I have seen.

Not a problem, happy to pass on the feedback.

You are welcome.

Me too, that is what caught my eye at first. I assume it is waterjetted (that is how we do such things). I wanted to get them to do one custom for me with "FTX" cut out instead, but I am way too impatient to wait for that.

Went with the Extang Tuff Tonneau...Saved me a lot of hassle at Home Depot and Costco when I've bought something that won't fit with the tonneau down. 5 min to rollup. No problems with leakage. Not waterproof but, no major issues. Curved bows that help keep water from pooling and sagging the cover.
If I did get a hard cover, Undercover would be my choice..
