No the new F150 xlt, lariat, etc... will also all have circular fog lights and a new front bumper. Go to www.fordaxz.com and look at the 06 F150 ordering guide. Plain as day cosmetic changes and options changes.

ford is still going to be lagging behing the competition. nissan, chevy/gmc and dodge already have both of those and dodge is coming out with a 6-speed auto for late 2006.

ford always has to play catch-up and never quite make it.

Besides the obvious benefit add to having a larger engine in 07, what is the benefit add of having a 5 speed transmission? I forget the reasoning, besides because it's the new thing.

5 spd tranny should give better performance and gas mileage.

i have the order guide printed out but i'm still not seeing any body changes. the only thing i see is unique lower valance for the harley package. if they make all the lower valances the same then it would not be unique to the harley. maybe i'm just missin something.

yeah Duke, I also don't see anything about front end changes. We already know about the lower valence w/round fogs and black headlights on the Harley model. There is no way they would already be redesigning the whole front end with new headlights and grilles.

on another note, in the optional Lariat chrome package, it appears that it adds the LT door and tailgate handles (painted w/chrome handles).

The optional chrome package which runs around $1,300 gives you chrome 18" lariat wheels, chrome step ups, chrome mirror covers, and chrome LT handles. I'm verifying with my source that it is ok to release the picture to our forum. If I recieve the OK I will post it. But believe me, there are new fog lights and lower bumper for every F150 built in 2006. I wish it wasn't true, because I just bought my 2005.

dont forget the chrome exhaust tip, and the lariat and xlt models have this "chrome" add on, xlt option costs more and you dont get the chrome handle pulls like the lariats chrome package

i have the ordering guide and it isnt clear but it appears they are chrome handles w/ plastic non-painted buckets. The new bumper is dumb, i like round fogs better but it doesnt suit the truck.

Remember -- GM did a fairly substantial revision of the current Chevrolet pick-up about three years into its latest redesign.

Quite frankly, I think they ruined the look of the truck with the redesign -- I thought the original version (similar to the current day Tahoe's) was much more attractive than what Chevrolet has out right now. To me, the current Chevrolet trucks scream out "Boy Racer" or "Ricer"....!

well that's just dumb. two years old and they're already making body changes. i wonder if they are trying to up the sales figures. i read this morning that f-series sales are down 18%.

i too like the round lights but they seem to be out of place, maybe too small for this big truck.

i dont know whats wrong, but i like how the old style fog light sort of matched the "length" of the headlamp and also accented the body lines, but i dont even have fogs so what am i talking about

I'll admit the new fog lights look kinda weird. But I'm just pissed that someone will have a newer and better model soon. Uhhh, they better not drive around my playground....
