Color Accent Help!

I am getting the flame pinstriping and a custom emblem sticker with flames on my truck. I was going to get them both in the chrome vinyl, however, I heard that the chrome does not hold up very well and will start spiderwebbing and cracking and eventually turn white.

So now Im trying to decide if I just go with Metallic Silver, or possibly a diff color, like Orange, or something for my truck?

Here is a link (only pic I have right now as my camera batteries are shot) to how it looks in the back at least. Its Metallic Blue.

What do you think?

Ok, now my fiance saw a pic of a navy blue truck with bright purple graphics in his magazine and says I should get PURPLE.

Now, dont get me wrong, I heart purple. But... well? I dunno.

Any opinions at all?

Honest opinion...

Neither but, that's not what you're wanting to hear...

Again, honest opinion...

Don't get vinyl, have them painted as it'll look much classier and better... again though... probably not what you're wanting to hear.

I'm pretty much useless but, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Being a college student that works her **** off at a horse barn just to make enough money for her truck and a few other bills, getting the flames painted on really isnt affordable. I am able to get 2 sets of the pinstripes for $60, which I can do. Id love to have a custom paint job thing going on, but that will be POST college degree!

I agree with RockPick neither. Don't get me wrong I have seen some nice flamed F150s but they have them painted on and have a lot of other mods. I know sometimes you see pics of something done and it looks great in the pics but when you try it it doesn't come out the same. A buddy of mine put on a flame grill and was suprised how many bolts/rivets you can see holding it on which he didn't see in the pictures. Well good luck with whatever you decide.

Ok, so we got a college chick here...... . Anyway, I think blue and silver are always a good combination, but that is just my opinion.

Yes, a college chick!

I love the silver and blue too. Its nice to see a fellow metallic blue owner! Ive seen a lot of every color except the blue!

Paint is something I could get after I get my degree. Or after my fiance makes captain! I agree the paint does look better, but it also costs more. Maybe the paint could be a wedding present?

Thanks guys!

LOL thats a BIG hint to all the guys!
Make friends with a paint guru. being a girl im sure you can turn on the charm and he'll let you paint it for the cost of the paint.
