For you guys who have the Pro Comp Xterrain...How do you like them? How do they ride on the road? Are they very noisy?? How about tread wear? I am trying to decide what to wrap around my 18" Helo Maxx 6 rims when i get them.............

I have the 35X12.5-17 X-Terrains on my truck. I've only got about 8K miles on them so far, but they seem to be holding up fine to this point. I have no idea what kind of mileage to expect out of them, but I'm rotating every 5K to make sure I get all I can.

As for noise, you can feel the tread at very low speeds, but once I get up to about 20+ mph they ride as smooth as glass, and they're pretty quiet too. Either that or I've gotten so used to it that I don't notice it. This post probably not much help, but since nobody else had posted for you, I thought I would give it a shot.

 

careful how you rotate'em. them there x-terrains are directional.

 

I agree with everything dirtworm said. i have about 15K on mine I guess and they seem to be holding up great. For something with such an aggressive tread, they are very road friendly.

Are you going to get the Helo Maxx 6s after all?

Im going tomorrow to get prices on them with the 325/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers or maybe even BFG A/Ts.

 

$1200? Pro comp has buy 3 get one free deals all the time. I spent about that for my tires and wheels.

I just looked at Nittos website and they list the 325/60/18s as 32.99" tall.

I got the buy 3 get one free deal on the tires and got a set of American Eagle Alloys for about $400. The tires did good in the snow. I did have a bit of trouble one night but it was solid ice, I just threw it in 4x4 and had no problems.

 

There should be no problem getting a 13" wide tire on a 9" wide rim correct?

 

It will fit fine. I'm running this setup.

 

thanks for the quick reply man. where did you order these wheels and tires from? every wheel i look at is way overpriced and i just want something simple like yours since i will be using it year round and would hate for some 300$ a peice rims to see an alaskan winter.
