Fuse panel, where is it?
Fuse panel, where is it?
I went out to install some stuff in my "new to me" truck.
I can't figure out how to access the passenger compartment fuse panel.
The manual says "The fuse panel is located under the right-hand side of the instrument panel. Remove the trim panel and fuse box cover to access the fuses."
I must not be looking in the right place or something, what trim panel piece are they talking about?

Nevermind, I found it.
Either the manual is wrong, or whoever wrote it thinks "under the right-hand side of the instrument panel" actually means all the way over to the right hand side as far as possible and then down past the glove compartment to the passenger side kick panel next to the front passenger door opening.
geesh

When I bought my truck the guy at the shop was showing me "useful features" of my truck, like the hooks for the baby seat in the back and what not. He then goes "oh an in case you need to change a fuse the panel is located over....." "uhh....." "Well its in the manual." Took me 3 days to figure it out and I also busted one of the tabs getting it open. lol
In case you didn't know the emergency fuel overide switch is there too in the event you ever take it 4 wheeling and tip it over on accident.
So far my favorite is the wife's new f250 came with a connector for a break controller, and when I went ot connect it, the manual as well as the slip with the connector showed the plug for the connection being just below the steering wheel. I looked all over that truck for an hour for the connection. I then took it to the dealer. They said oh I just hooked one of those up for a customer yesterday. Walks out with me and then goes, "Weird they must have moved it for the 2005's!" he then called ford. Apparently they moved it in the 2005 models to the back of some cubby hole in the dash... What a pain! Fix your documentation Ford!

It will swivel out with the hinged (two tabs) part being nearest the door jamb.

I thought it would be there too. I've never seen a vehicle where it wasn't on the driver's side...
What/how are you going to tap into on the fuse panel?
You may want to read my saga from today before you alter what you've already done. https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=197341
I would have preferred to tap into the fuse panel but these mini-fuse layouts weren't arranged to do what I had wanted.
