Flow Through Console In STX Part 1

So I got a bunch of parts off E-bay and some ford part websites. This is definatly a possibility if you want to change up your STX or XLT without the nice console. Bear in mind, I'm missing a few parts still and it will never look the same as a FX4's but so far I likey. I'll Have to make a custom part to join the Dash and console, I'm thinking a leather wrapped part that matches the console lid even down to the stitching. In the hole where the shirter goes someone put another cupholder. I can do that or a custom mount for a verticle mount DVD player.

What do ya'll think. Remember, One hours worth of work and less than a $150.00

Holy Cow man. you need to resize those pics.

Looks good though. I am doing the same thing. I was thinking about trying to fit a sub woofer inside of it.

It looks good, are you going to floor shift, or just use the area for something else? Also, what did you put in at the rear?

The shifter hole will either be another cup holder or a custom mount for a verticle DVD player. And what do you mean what did I do in the rear?

How about some gauges? Might be a bit much to have more cupholders.Dvd is nice too, though I would make some kind of pop-up lid to conceal it when not in use. Tons of potential either way. Nice job on the install so far. Keep the pics coming...

Didn't mean to be obscure. I have looked at a dozen or so 'flow through' consoles on e-bay, and all of them had an opening in the back for the rear vents, I supose. Looked 'unfinished'. That is going by the pics they post, not a personal inspection. I take it that your console rear has just the A/C vents, which you have not hooked up?

Anyone got and Ideas as to the piece to connect the dash to the console? I was thinking MDF wrapped in Leather to match the Console Lid. Maybe with a Din Slot for a headunit?

Sounds cool. Maybe it can have a subwoofer hidden within? A Ps2 or an X-Box? Just throwing out some ideas. You got the pontential to do alot with that space...
