Anyone Install Rancho RS9000X Shocks

Does anyone have Rancho RS9000X Shocks installed? If so, what are your thoughts on them? Im getting my Autospring installed next week...and I have decided to change my shocks while Im at it so I can get alignment and all done at once.

Let me know if you have installed these...Im trying to find out the part # or size to get for my truck.

Thanks!

I HAVE THE RSX 9000'S ON MY LARIET. I LIKE THEM. THEY STIFFENED UP THE RIDE QUITE A BIT AND I ONLY HAVE MINE SET ON 5. FRONTS WERE A PAIN IN THE *** WITH MY 2 INCH LEVELING KIT BUT IF YOU DROP THE UPPER BALL JOINT THEY GO IN EASY. IM RUNNING THE STANDARD SIZE FOR A FACTORY REPLACEMENT AND I HAVE A 2 INCH LEVELING KIT AND AN ADD A LEAF IN THE REAR(APPROX 2 IN LIFT) THE REARS HAVE BEEN ON ABOUT 6 MONTHS AND THE FRONTS ABOUT 3 WEEKS.
HOPE THIS HELPS.

Can you post a pic of your truck with the front leveling kit and rear add a leaf?

Wow, you seem to be the only with it...with your leveling kit, how much did the rear lift with the add-a-leaf? I just purchased a 1.5" leveling kit since I still want it SLIGHTLY lower in front...but was actually considering exchanging it for a 2" and adding an add-a-leaf set.

Im trying to find your truck in the gallery...Thanks for the info.

I went with the 1.5 ... got squat on heavy tongue load ... put in RAS ... hope that helps level the trailer load better. Several pics in my WWW link. But none showing stance after RAS yet ... will get some soon ... RAS gave about 1/2" or so lift to the rear following the instructions. It is adjustable from about 1/4 to a somewhere over an inch.

tycreek,

please excuse my stupidity...whats RAS? Are those the bags/air lift things?

Another person mentioned that in another post...so it does add lift as well and is practical I guess when hauling eh?

Pics would be nice...whats a ballpark figure for install on something like that including the kit itself?

RAS is a silly little gadget that I thought I'd try instead of air bags! Roadmaster Active Suspension... I do have a couple pic in my www link ... but www.activesuspension.com has all sorts of pics and marketing propaganda ...

So far they have only a slight effect on the ride. Less than what I've gotten from air bags in the past. I haven't had a chance to pull the trailer with them yet to see if they reduce my bit of squat.

Oh... and they were about $240 and would take a few hrs to install. Drop ubolts, change top plate, put ubolts back on, let axle droop and then adjust.
