Oh man! I can't stand whats going on!

so most of you guys know about this brake thing that went on with me last week on my 04 F150 that left my truck beating up my garage right?
You also remember me complaining and complaining about the dealer not giving me a rental car? Also the dealer couldn't do anythign with the truck until it was inspected by Ford??
I'll try to make this short, but I've been out of a truck for a little over a week and was waiting for my truck to be inspected by Ford to see why the brakes failed......SOOOO....I get a call just an hour ago by the service Manager at my Ford dealer saying "Matt, you can pick up your truck now!" I'm like GREAT! It's fixed!! He said, nope! Now I'm confused as to whats going on. Listen to this crap, NOTHING WAS DONE! He told me Ford is in the process of making you a deal on buying my truck back, so the dealer does not need my truck there anymore since they don't need to work on it anymore since Ford will be buying my truck back! But wait a minute! Hows the dealer know about the buyback before I even knew with my Attorney??? I went to call my Attorney just after the call from the dealer to see If I passed the Arbitration, but they had closed at 5.
Service Maneger told me I can pick my truck up, and that he had taken it for a ride and they brake are working he said! Acually I'm kinda scared to pick the truck up, just in case somethign goes wacco again with the brakes and make me crash into someone...I'm leaving my truck there until I talk to my attorney tomorrow morning..
How the heck does the dealer find out before me that Fords in the process of making a deal with me on buying my truck back??? You would think my attorney would know before anyone?? I REALLY hope that they buy this truck back soon so I can get into a new one!

so what do you think is going on? do you think that the dealer is feeding you a line of BS just to appease you for the moment?? i wouldnt touch the truck untill i heard from your attorney, ford, and the general manager or owner of the dealership. on a side note though im sure going to miss the triton soap opera when you get this all fixed up!

thats the thing I'm kinda hoping to get advice from on here. I don't know if the dealer is B/S me? How the heck would he know that fords in the process of buying my truck back when I havn't heard anything about it, nor the attorney? All I know, I will NOT be picking up my truck, the brakes are bad, no way will I want to drive that back home! I don't want to take that risk!

Maybe..and its just a thought..maybe they called Ford to see what to do. In the process, ran the VIN and found out it was in a buy back and they dont want to throw anymore money at it, at this point. If it were me, I'de be EXTREMELY HAPPY!! I wpuldnt touch the truck. Leave it there until they buy it back. Who knows when the breaks will fail again. You might not get lucky enought to hit the garage next time. What if its a kid running across the street?? Tell them that, and ask the Service Manager if HE would take the truck if it were his. Good luck , sounds like your on the right track to a buy back now. And yes,,,im sure we will all miss the Triton saga!!

I'm acually VERY excited! but...I don't want to get myself all wild up just in case the dealer was full of himself and there isn't a buy back yet...then I'll be really bumed out, things are finally looking up for once!

Don't worry though, I won't be leaving this fourm :-) As soon as Ford buys my truck back, and I get the check, I will be on the look out at buying a new F-150! I'm thinking this time either an FX4 or Lariat if the price is right. Hopfully then, all the post I will make will be about how clean I got her like the rest of u! lol

Wish me luck though, I really hope the dealer is right though and Ford is in the process of buying this truck back!

I do wish you luck Triton, and im glad to hear, after all your problems, you're still gonna get another F150. It is, by far the best truck out there today. I love mine as most of us do. Your day will come. Be patient. Cant wait to see your new FX4

(are you sure you don't want to get a Titan, or a Chevy? Might help Ford resale if you were posting in the other boards...)

I think half of the threads on f150online.com are problems with Tritions truck. What we need to do is make a thread and combine all the threads into one.

If they have agreed to the buyback, I would leave the other POS at the dealership. Why do you need to go pick it up if they're buying it back?

I'd ask to take a different truck home every day as a "test drive".

It won't happen but they might like to cut you a deal but then....probably not. Oh well it's nice to have something to look forward to.

i wouldnt believe anything the dealer says until you see it on paper. Once you have paper in your hand then they can never bs you about it again. if they were in the process of buying it back im sure that you would receive a letter from ford motor company. until then i wouldnt touch that thing. my truck is in the shop right now for hail damage and a few warranty problems. Said it will be ready next week. i cant wait to get my truck back but i dont want to deal with all the bs like "we drove it and it was fine". Hopefully i picked a trusty dealership this time. three weeks without a f150 is two weeks and 6 days too long
