CAUTION 6" spacer lift.

here are some pictures of what happened to my 6" pro comp lift. i believe that the stock coilover bottomed out causing the failure or the procomp spacer bent and gave way causing the coilover assembly to curve

here you can see the curve in the coilvoer assembly it should be straight, it is resting on the side of the coil bucket

this is where the coilvoer spacer pushed up through the mount

here you can see the bend and wher the upper control arm hits the spacer

i chose the fabtech coilovers because they are made by sway a way. who also makes a big portion of the coilovers that are used in baja race trucks.
they are amazing off road, and are extremly stable on the road. i love them, these are the best thing that i have done to my truk yet

the ride is amazing off road, you never seem to loose control no matter how hard you push it. and i push it very hard.
I'm waiting for camburg to come out with there upper control arm and replace the whole thing, it should be similar to total chaos's arm
also my upper control arm is no where near my coilover now as it was rubbing with my daystar on there even with it cranked up 2"s

I know what ya mean on the rubbing part. How much did the coilovers set you back and any idea how much the control arms are gonna cost?? Thanks!

Well I guess that answers my question wether or not I should go for the Coil overs or get some upgraded shocks.

Coil overs it is.

they were like 850 at 4 wheel parts wholesale. they had them in stock here in arizona. they also had the procomps, but the procomps are made by procomp, so the fabtechs that are made by sway-a-way are much better coilover. these shocks also have a place to add the resiviour the the coil over which i will be doing soon

i'm guessing that the upper control arm should be reasonably comparable to the price of the tundra arm, it being basically the same concept, like 500. i think i remember total chaos (chaosfab.com) asking like 700 for the upper arm and the upper shock mount and the reseviour mount

Hey 04fx4yfz, I'm runn'n the Fabtech w/ Dirt Logics. Have you noticed any popping sounds coming from the front while being in 2wd while turning the wheel at slow speeds even though you have the pro comp lift.

Mines just started doing it the last week and a half, I'm not sure if it has to do w/ the lift now settling in. Been in about a month now. Also, just cranked down the drivers side retaining ring, appears it backed itself off. I noticed how far down you have your ring cranked down, does yer truck sit level.

Thanks, Chris

Can I bug you w/ some more ?'s.

Makes me wonder to about Pro Comp!

They still have not responded to my question concerning the Tie-Rod rubbing against the Coilover.

I heard the Fabtech Coilovers ROCK. I think I may be upgrading that 1st!!!!!

Is it me or are the Fabtech Coilovers smaller around?
