Thanks, Chris

Can I bug you w/ some more ?'s. [/B]
no i haven't heard any noises coming from the coilovers or the front suspension at all. my rear leafs used to make some noise squeking and such, until i took them apart and lubed them up well before putting them back together

i also have an add-a-leaf in the rear off an f-250, so thats why mine are cranked up high, and yes with this set up it sits level now

what are your other questions? no problem thats what we are all here for!

Not to get off topic but how much lift did the add a leaf give you and did it change ride quality on the street??

Thanks 04fx4yfz.

I'm still try'n to figure out what the heck is pop'n up front. Could it be the ball joints? I read some talk a while back about something similar but when in 4wd, can't remember exactly what it was, I even went back page by page on another board to see if I could find it.

Can you straighten me out as to the ring on the coil overs. Compressing the spring will bring the front end down, correct? When the shop did the lift, they said that they really had to crank it down to get the truck to sit level, honestly I don't remember how much thread was showing on the coil overs above the ring, but the truck did sit pretty level. Now, there is about 1/2"-3/4" of thread showing above the ring, nothing like what your pic shows. I'm wondering if when I had the truck alligned, if the tech might have had to back off and let the front raise up to be able to allign it. He said it was a bear to allign. If this is the case, will a castor kit(?) fix this and let me bring the front back down. Hopefully I'll be able to talk to him tomorrow to find out

Thanks again,
Chris

the rear add-a-leaf made it a little stiffer but not enough to notice unless your looking for it. so no not really.

turning the ring down, spinning it to your left, making it spin towards the ground will make your front end higher. i didn't notice that when i did mine that the alignment was off, so for my truck that wouldn't make since for them to alter the height to allign it properly. i would make sure you put some lock tight on that allen bolt to make sure it doesn't come loose, so the ring doesn't move on its own. the ring wasn't really to hard to turn even where mine sits now. just lift the front end off the ground and take the tire off. take the allen keeper screw off and use your spanner its not really that hard to turn, but make sure you use alot of wd40, that makes it alot easier, just clean it off when your done.
i would also make sure that all of your brackets and such on the lift are tight. check all the bolts. the drop bracket on my front differential came loose and made a lot of noise when i hit bumps. so mayb check everything to make sure its tight

NIce shocks. You're making me want to get some. I have to figure out which lift kit to go with. I guess I won't be going with Pro-Comp, maybe Fab-tech or something else.

If you go with any lift be sure to get the coilover option (stage II) for any of the lifts so this wont happen to your truck. I have the procomp with their coilovers and havent had any problems with them yet.

pro comp isnt bad stuff, he just pushes his truck hard without the coilovers, with probably caused this to happen, but those coilovers are SICK

im looking at getting some coilovers, but i have the rize kit and with the dirt logics i wouldnt be at 8" lift anymore, and im looking to go up another 2 inches in lift and keep myslef on these 38's......

can we get some video of you riding harcore sometime?

Pat, just an idea.

DLs + 2" spacer = 8" of lift.

I've seen it done on a CST lift and it worked good and good ride.

Seems like every lift kit has flaws. I just can't seem to sort them out or figure out which one won't cause premature wear on something or fall apart on me.

I have a set of DL coilovers I don't need. Very nice truck, but spacers are terrible.
