Looking for guys with 4X4 Supercrew Lariats and King Ranches..
For you guys that have a 2004 or 2005 4x4 Supercrew Lariat or a King Ranch. I'm seeing if you can tell me what you guys average about in your gas milage since your owners of the Heaviest F150's ever made. I'm looking into getting into a 4x4 Lariat Supercrew which is heavier then my 04 Supercrew XLT and I'm trying to see how much more I'm going to suffer in gas milage by the extra weight.
On my supercrew XLT 2wd 4.6L I average 16-17mpg, I figured the Lariats and King ranches are much more heavier, due to having 4X4, 18 inch tires, 5.4. V-8, and the extra options inside the truck itself.
So what do you owners average on these trucks??

These figures started from the first tank I had to fill.
This is from excel I found it when I was thinking of getting an F250 and just modified it for the F150. It only tracked MPG but I added the Avg MPG. The big drop off (4/2) was me towing my jetskis in for service for the upcoming season.
Has a sheet for service and what was done also for what lubricants to use or what you are using.

Mine's still pretty new
I've only got 630 miles on it in the first two weeks. The HIGHEST I've seen my average read was 13.5! That was on a 150 mile round trip mostly highway jaunt. Mostly I've been around town. I'm not a lead foot by any means starting out. I'm hoping it'll improve a little as she breaks in. I put an ARE LS II on it and I'm DOWN to 13.3. So much for aerodynamics
I'm coming out of a 5.2 Dodge Durango which averaged mid 13's, so no huge adjustment for my gas budget.

thanks for the replys! From what it sounds like so far, looks like I would loose about 3MPG more then what I have now. Which would make sence considering more weight to be moving around.

Driving 55mph , I get about 21.
Driving on the freeway, I get around 16 (75-85 mph)
In the city, about 12.
This is running a 93 octane performance tune which is supposed to give the best gas mileage.

I'm getting right around 15 with winter formulation... expect 16-17 with Summer formulation...
Tuned -- 87 Octane Troyer Xcalibrator Tuned..

16,000 miles, 2004 5.4L Supercrew Lariat 4x4 with Magnaflow SIDO. 17.5 higway trip 350 miles one way, 18.2 back (hit bad traffic with a 1 hour 5 mile traffic jam in Austin). Mixed highway city (daily commute) is 16.5 MPG, if I baby it I can get 17 mpg if highway traffic isn't bad (usually after 9:00AM). All of these number are with me trying to get good mileage and using a easy foot (letting the torque do the work). I can change these numbers at will, and with the new xcalibrator I can very easily make these numbers very low because I keep wanting to floor it...
Local driving averages between 14.5 to 15.0 MPG.
None of these number include the Xcalibrator.
Xcalibrator with 87 octane Troyer Performance cusome tune has made a difference but I have no numbers yet and will be switching to the 93 octane performance tune as soon as I empty this tank.
