Wrecked Wheels

Hello, I posted this in the wheel and Tire foprum but now cant find the dang thing.

Here goes.....A couple of weeks ago, Discount tire replaced my stock tires with Nittos. Love em.....The only problem is that when they took off the center caps, they gouged/scratched not one....but all four of my stock chrome rims. You all know that there is two pry tabs per cap so that adds up to 8 nasty marks on me rims. I know these will rust. What would you all do? Im not so much angry as just bummed. (maybe I should be mad?)

Also, does anyone know how much those wheels cost? What do I do?????

Scratched Wheels

Dealer did the same thing to mine on the first rotation. Funny thing is I had mentioned it to my service rep before the work was done so that they would be carefull but it did no good. They replaced all 4 rims after they first tried to polish them out.

Except for the employee that put the gouges in your wheels, right?

As much as I read about this problem, I plan to take my covers/caps off myself before I take my truck in for any tire rotations/replacements.

I use a flat blade screw driver - wrapped with black electrical tape - to carefully remove my center caps. I also remove them myself before any service.

I guess I've been lucky enough never to scratch one. I just use a flat blade screw driver and pop em off. I don't see how people who do this every day can be so gorrilla. I wish people would work on other people's vehicles like it was their own.

Yeah but this, after three sets of tires and rims is the first screw up. I gotta give em a chance to make it right.
