is the love gone?

I spent alot of time on Houston's major freeways today and noticed ALOT os used f150's,what's wrong, why give them up?I LOVE my truck ,I had thought of trading it in for a larger truck but it still would have been a f150.

gas isn't that bad..what's a couple bucks difference. if gas prices going up make you unable to afford to drive your truck, you shouldn't be owning such a pricey vehicle then. 50 bucks extra a month breaking your bank and you need to re-evaluate your price-range.

when I bought my truck last month, I was looking for a used 04 F150 to save some money, and there was only one on the lot. And it was more expensive than my 05 so here I am.

i agree........reminds me of when Dodge started making the new style Rams.....my buddy and i went to a dealership back in like 1994 or so and they had a truck on the showroom floor that looked awsome...i remember my friend asked the salesguy how much it cost per year for fuel....the salesman said " i dont mean to be disrespectful but if you have to ask that question you cant afford this truck"...i laughed my *** off...needles to say he didnt buy one...we both got Fords that same year....mine was a 94 Eddie B. Bronco that got about 15 mpg...like my 04 F150 does now......

Maybe they are trading them in on 05's...
Up here in Dallas I am seeing a lot of 04's and 05's on the road.

Texas is supposed to be the pickup truck capital of the world.

Good point Gtullous,
I admit, I don't like the price when it goes up, but I also don't complain when I have to spend another $40-$60 a month on fuel either. I look at it this way, If I would stop going to Buger King 3 times a week, not only would I make up the difference in gas money, but I could actually loose weight.

I've never seen any used trucks around my area. The other day I saw one at the local Nissan dealer and I thought it was a used one that someone traded in, but while I was at the light I saw an employee get in it and leave some black marks out of Nissan.

I dont see many used ones. Few people that I know have traded in like 03's on new rangers because fuel was killing them. Most any FS you see traded in you ask and it was because it cost to much to drive.

My I just keep mine lookin good in the garage for friday night and drive my 97 Ranger 3.0 around. Gets about 20mpg so its all good.

This kind of thinking is why the oil giants are hiking the price up so high. They can get away with it becasue we are willing to pay the high prices. If we all cut our driving in half, I bet they would lower the prices!

Awesome truck houtxstx!!! Anybody know how to photoshop some chrome bumpers on his truck? I'd really like to see how that looks.

anyway...

I have noticed around here that there are a LOT more 04/05 F-150s on the road lately. I bought mine in Jan 04, and there were like 3 or 4 here in town besides mine. Since the 05s, I have seen them all over the place. I LOVE IT!!! hahaha
