Talking 2004/2005 Fx4 "ride Out"

hey guys,

my name is jay, as a new member to the FX4 family, i wanted
to find a way to show my colors and just have fun with my new
toy. also, i recently seperated from the army, 3RD Armored Caval-
ry Regiment, who recently redeployed back to iraq. we hadn't
been back stateside a year yet and already they're going back
over. since i still have a whole lot of friends in that unit, i also
wanted to pay tribute to them since i couldn't go back with them.
anyway, to make a long story short, i am in the pre stages of
planning a FX4(all FX4 models welcome, SuperCrew, Super Cab
etc.) sorry other F-150's, nothing personal. its gonna be for
early summer and will begin in baltimore downtown. i figure all
that show can meet each other and then check out each others
trucks and get some mingling and networking out the way. at
some point we could grab some food and then ride out to ocean city md. once we get there i'm planning on putting on a show up
and down the strip a couple of times and then finding some beach
that we can off road on to show what the trucks were made for.
like i said, this is the very beginning of planning so all the logistics
havn't been worked out. if you are interested or have any suggestions, feel free to e-mail me at: j_lawrence4@msn.com
this is open to anyone who can get here and would like to be involved. i would like to get a big card or banner for everyone that
shows to sign and put a picture of there truck on to send over to the troops. donations will also be taken on a voluntary basis or if
you wanna just make a care package, i can provide you with the addresses. ok, a little back round on me. i recently seperated from
the army as a SGT, i was in 7 1/2 years and did serve in iraq. i
currently live in columbia md and work for a ford dealership. i act-
ually wanted a mustang, but kept doing demo's in FX4's and was
sold. irronically, my first sale was a F-150. i love my truck and think
that there is something special about FX4 owners. i'm really excited about this and hope you guys can get behind me to make this happen. i will periodically post threads here to update and
let people know how close this is to becoming a reality. if this
catches on, maybe it can be come an annual event! SKY"S the
limit. oh yeah, to all veterans, THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again, welcome to the site from one veteran to another. I just seperated from the Air Force in October after 9 years. I know what you went throught, bro. I've been to Saudi Arabia and back.

Keep us posted on the get together. Sounds like a great idea.
