I think I'm the first to do this mod.
Your mod is what inspired me to do the same with a Nordskog M9007 digital tranny temp gauge. Coming with the green LED to match the console/radio LED colors. As my "coinhole" is occupied with the electronic 4x4 circuit, I'll be sacrificing the 12V power point hole on the right side of the console for the 2 1/16" round gauge. I can pop off the radio surround pretty easy for access to the backside of the powerpoint. How did your coin holder pop out? Is it held in by clips? I hear there is some filing/dremeling required to open up the hole a bit?
I've got a single hole dash mount gauge pod coming in case I run into trouble....

I deicded to copy you as well and go with a trans gauge. I got faze also and was wondering where you spliced the positive wire from the little black gauge supply box. It says to do it between dimmer control and dash lighting? Also where did you splice the positive directly off the back of the gauge? Thanks for your input.

well i don't really feel like going outside and re-tearing my truck apart, but what you will have to do (or what I did) is pull the whole headlight dimmer switch panel out (four clips from behiend the dash with a flat head screwdriver), and then using a test light find the wire on the DIMMER SWITCH that comes on with the headlights and dims. Splice into it that wire, make sure the gauge works, and slap it all back together and enjoy.
