I told the dealership not to put one on or I would not take the truck. They whined but listened to my warning.

Use a hairdryer to warm it up, then peel it off. Clean up the remaining adhesive residue and then hit the area with an extra coat of wax.

That was off my truck as soon as I got home from the dealership.....fortunately, the dealership tried to put it on when the truck was a little wet after they washed it (my dealership had to do a trade), so it basically fell off when I touched it. As mentioned above, Goo Gone or similar will take off the sticky crap.

Hair dryer works best. Just heat it up until it it peels off. Teh minimal residue can be taken off with McGuire's #1.

I'm with you guys. I have never taken delivery of a vehicle with the dealer label on it. I always make sure they know that I will not accept it with their advertisement on it.
Another vote for Goo Gone to remove "goop".

Try some 60 grit on a belt sander if that doesn't get it try a propane torch.

Maybe........try the hairdryer and goo-gone FIRST

And while you have the hair dryer out, use it to peel off the obnoxious 'Death or Serious Injury May Occur' bright yellow stickers on your sunvisors.

I always thought I was the only one that hated the dealership sticker and the cheapy plastic plate logo. Don't people realize that the whole point of the stickers and BS is free advertiseing. I mean I wouldn't recomend ANYONE to the dealership I bought my truck from much less run around with telling everyone that looks at my truck were to get one from.

:santa: = who knows

My new 05 Screw was built in January of 05 and I took delivery in early February. The first thing I did when I got home with it was peel the dealer advertisment sticker off. Since it had just been put on there, it pulled right off and did not leave a speck of residue. I would imagine the adhesive might need a little more help (i.e. the hair dryer trick) if the sticker has been on the vehicle for awhile.
