Messy Oil Change

Was changing my oil the other day and everytime I poured a quart of oil back into the engine I would have oil leaking around the base of that cheap plastic tube that is mounted on the valve cover to add oil. I say its cheap because the old ones used to be metel. Has anyone else had this problem? No big deal just makes a mess!

No leaks here either. Yours must not be installed right or the o ring is gone.

I had a major oil leak when I was trying to do my oil change the other week myself! I forgot to put the oil plug back in! I didn't realize it until the second bottle was already poured in and the oil was around my shoes by then! Dummy me!

Did that once myself. Good thing I also forgot to take the drain pan out from under the oil pan.
