I don't know which is better.
But www.ajusa.com has some great prices w/free shipping on K&N intakes. There are actually 2 different K&N's available for the 5.4 V8.

I have the Airaid.....totally pleased...
Their support is awesome!
case in point:
I purchased my intake last year after checking with the peeps on this forum. Installation was a breeze...sound effects and performance were very noticable. However, it seems there was a problem with the design of the tube, Your "Check Engine" light would stay on......
They have re-designed the tube which corrected this annoyance. After making a toll-free call to Airaid, explaining my prob, they asked me my address to get my "new design" tube out to me! and, threw in a recharge kit for my patience.
just my experience with Airaid......

We have a significant amount of *our* money in the R&D of that Air Force One intake kit.........
We have not yet been provided with a "finished" version of that kit by Air Force One ..........
As things stand today, there is a grand total of ONE (1) intake kit that we feel is worth having for the 5.4 3-valve F-150, and that is the Airaid unit. There is one other kit that doesn't cause problems and can be used safely, but it doesn't gain real power, either. The Airaid gains a boatload of power - 15 Hp at the rear wheels at just 2000 rpm, and 20 HP at the rear wheels at just 3000 rpm.
We'll let you know as soon as we see the new units, gang!
