Thanks for the help

mine is a 2wd & 5.4 3v. and it also vibrates more after it warms up. if this is inherent in the triton engine then they need to change the design or something. if nobody complains and just say's, oh well that's just the way they are. ford will just keep making them that way. they are such awsome trucks and believe me I'm happy with my choice, and I understand not all trucks are affected but apparently alot are but people just accept it as normal.

Joenard,

Since you said you where venting and not complaining... Man your truck is a "piece O'chit car" (adam sandler). You would be much better off with a different brand. all these fords are the same junk, They all rattle, iddle bad, stall at stops, get bad gas mileage, hoods vibrate, beds vibrate (not always a bad thing ), tires pop, tires don't balance, engines blow up,and the clincher they infect you soul with dubious thoughts of modifications and empty your wallet of hard earned money.

(with that being said I have put 4400 miles on mine in the last 5 weeks since new and it has been trouble free )

HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER.

That's classic. If I get my truck back from the dealer and everything is ok I'll be a happy clam. I'll keep you posted.

Quintin the vibration I have sounds like something is loose under the hood. It also is worst if I put the a c on. Is this the same you have? I have the 2wd and only hear it at idle. Thanks for the info.

I have the 4.6L 4x4 and the idle is fairly rough when stopped at lights, it got better for a couple hundred km's after the reflash but is now rough again. I actually like the rough idle, it makes it feel more like an old school V8!!!

For those of you with the engine vibe, does it feel like one of the cylinders is misfiring when at idle?

That's what I feel. It's not a big issue, but a little annoying. A big V8 should be smooth as silk at idle.

Are there any fixes for the idle vibe?

I have an 05 and seem to get no vibes. Think they fixed it?

Ain't me that's saying it's in 2WD trucks with the 5.4 3V, that's Ford engineering's handy work.

It feels almost like a slight stumble at idle. There currently isn't a fix, engineering is aware of it and they're working on one though.
