Question Mounting After Market Fog Lights in the "Gap"

My XLT Screw did not come with the factory fog lights and I was wanting to install a set of aftermarket lights. I would rather not have to invest in a bull bar or other external bar to mount the lights on.

Has anyone mounted a set of lights in the "gap" area below the main grill? I looked in there but there does not seem to be a good mounting point to anchor the lights to. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Buck

Where's the switch? I know it's inside the cab, but where? How? How much?

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. How did you mount them?

Well, I wanted something on the lines of what a SuperDuty Has as far as fog lights. I sat down with aftermarket guy from the dealer and went through a book which has any kind of light your looking for. I found a light that I liked that looked kinda like what a Superduty has, and I picked out a blue lens that goes onto the fog lights to match the color of my truck. When they lights are on, there powered by HID lights which the sqitch to turn them on and off is mounted right next to the hookup inside the dirvers door that you plug into if you have any engine codes that pop up. Fog lights cost me 300 Dollars, thats including the lights, to install them, they charged me 75 bucks, so all together 375.

As far as there mounted, they took out those 2 small honey comb parts and installed them in place of that. They monted screws somehow both on the top part of the opening and the bottom of the opening, and they don't move at all. I can't really say how exactly they did it since I wasn't there, but they did good and I love the it turned out!
