That way I ands anyone else can analyze the output and I can detail what the differences are. Im very interested to see this so please, if anyone has time and is willing to do this, please share.
Can't believe I actually did this. Oh well, anything for this board.

Not that much of a diffrence. A set of silverstars will clear it up perfect.

Actually, the OEM headlight assemblies are listed at $200 per side - at least HERE.

And then? We are talking about used lights, not new ones. The only thing that really retains its value are the OEM radios.

Red Wing Nut, you rule! Nanner for you.

I'm thinking that you just sold a bunch of black headlights with your post. Maybe you should consider taking a percentage of the profit?

I got a e-mail last night from someone asking me if I would be willing to part with my OEM lights for $50 plus shipping. If you did'nt get one yet, beware.

That was me sending the emails - beware of what? Thought that i't'd be interesting to try separating the headlight, paint and put it back together. but i don't want to try it on the ones on my truck.

If you don't want to sell, say so - like several who did respond to the email. why beware? Of what?

Thanks for the side by side comparison shots.
Its not too bad not alot of difference. Noticed that the aftermarket lamp has a fuzzier cutoff but its not too bad to not recommend it.
For anyone concerned, it shouldnt make any noticable difference in performance using these lights. Plus they are a good deal for the price.
I will still be performing a HID projector retrofit into mine in the next few weeks hopefully.

Banzai83,

I doubt you will find anyone willing to sell the old ones for $50 right away. Most people will want to use the new ones awhile and make sure everything is alright. You'd feel real stupid buying black headlights for $200 and selling the stockers for $50, then the replacements turn out to not perform as expected and you have to shell out who knows how much from Ford for stock ones again.

Well anyone that is willing to sell the OEM lights for $50.00 is not to bright to start with in my opinion. They go for allot more at boneyards, not to mention ebay.
