Huh. I was there about two weeks ago, and they had not a single bottle. I even ask one of the 'auto' guys if they had any in the back, that's when they told me it was on clearance and they wouldn't be getting any more.

I'm headed that way tomorrow and I'll stop be to see what's left.

Thanks, az04.

Motorcraft® Quality

Motorcraft® 5W-20 is a premium motor oil blended using synthetic and mineral oil base stocks manufactured via a process called “hydrocracking”. This process rearranges the molecules, freeing them of impurities and making them more durable and resistant to breakdown. Motorcraft® 5W-20 dramatically outperforms and outprotects conventional motor oils. Specially tailored additives are included to:
- Reduce friction
- Minimize engine deposits and wear
- Protect against high temperature oxidation and low temperature thickening, rust, corrosion and foaming

Just found some Motorcraft oil at Wal-Mart. I was looking to see what type of 5W 20 they had when I spotted several rows of Motorcraft.

I bought
3 – 5W 20 synthetic blend (all they had)
7 – 5W 30 synthetic blend (all they had)
4 – 10W 30 synthetic blend (had a lot of this and a load of 10W 40 too)

The price was $1.88 per qt and I found one FL-820S too. They must still be cleaning out the warehouse

Guys if enough of you get together, go to the Automotive Dept. Manager and ask him to order it. I work at a Wally World. We got the letter that Ford was no longer doing business with Wal-Mart a couple months ago but since we have such a high demand for it at our store we went through another supplier and our shelves are full.....for $1.12 a quart, muwhahahahahaha!

Well thats employee price. But seriously if theres enough demand the Dept. Manager should be able (and willing) to keep it in stock, thats what happened here. We ran completley out of Motorcraft everything at our store. My Manager has a ranger, i HAD a ranger, now i got the STX, several other people we work with uses M.C. and a Crapload of customers wanted it so we put in a request for it at "home office" and were getting it back in now.

I was stunned to find cases of 5-20 in my WalMart after they ran out some time ago. I bought 2, and the guys working there didn't know if it was a fluke or what. I'll keep checking and advise... It was $23 for the case, pre-tax.

The WalMarts in the PDX vicinity are currently playing 'allotment' games by only stocking 6 Qts. on the shelf daily...haven't seen an 820S filter for several months.

For whatever it's worth......

I was at Wally World this last friday and noticed they had about 14 qts of MC 5-20 blend left (and at only $1.88 each) on the shelf and as I was checking out I saw the Automotive Mgr and asked him if there was a chance if MC oil would possibly become a stock item at WM again in the future and he told me he recently been told in a mgrs meeting that they (Wal-Mart) were going to turn the supply of MC oil on again.

Here in NY it's 3.99-4.49 on sale. Now, of course, I haven't looked lately... what with the oil "shortage" it could well be going over $5/quart.
