Black Headlights

Was going through ebay and found these
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7956603462
I know a couple of people were looking into painting them or were just looking to buy some black headlights. IMO these look much better then those ugly projectors. These to me are nice but yet simple.
If someone get thems please post pics.

Do the headlights remove easily? Do you have to take off the front bumper first?

I removed mine once to look at the headlight bulbs...

real easy to take off.. 3 Hex head bolts and two retaining clips...
Take about 2 mins to remove each headlight.

No, you dont have to remove bumper, just raise hood.

hmm, I have to think about these. my truck is silver/dsg and the front is already blacked out with the black billet grille, so I would think these lights should look ok on my truck?

I don't think these look as good as the Harley headlights, they look too grey, instead of black. They look good, just not what I'd want on my truck.

I think the greyness you are seeing is because of the photo quality. Probably best to email the seller about that.

I wonder if stock headlights could be disassembled and painted to make the same black look(Gloss black spray paint)? Any suggestions on how one would do this? Probably need a heat gun and some skill.

emailed the seller and he said that it is actually all black. The grey is a result of the picture quality. He assures me that they are a nice solid black.

While you have your headlights out, why not just wire a new connector to accept a different bulb? Is it that simple or is there more involved? Im really thinking about these right now, but I want to see how they fit first.

Id also rather have some Bilsteins first before headlights. If they fit good, Im getting some though...keep us posted.
