They have a Mega-crew....its the Superduty.

THink you'll be waiting a while for an F150 version. My understanding is that it would be a huge deal to add that much length to the current F150 lineup. Has to do with the frame length or something. I remember reading that somewhere.

But I agree I would have loved the 6.5' bed.

I thought Megacap is a Dodge brand!

My 2005 F150 supercrew is big enough, here in Holland the roads are compared to the US very small.

Actually, they do. I saw an 04 extended cab with an 8 foot bed on it and it had the heavier duty suspension. I believe Motor Trend or Truck Trend had an article about it a year or so ago. Man was it L O N G. I don't see why they couldn't slap the supercrew cab and a 6.5 bed on that frame and upgraded suspension, kinda wondered the same thing on the 2001-2003 models.

That one is easy and it has 2 answers- The ford answer is that they would have to make a new frame for the supercrew with that length bed and that would add another frame to an already crowded factory

Now the real asnwer- the superduty makes a lot more money compared to cost to manufactor than the f-150, thus they want to force people to step up to the 250 if they can.

the Dodge mega cab will be 3/4 and 1 ton only...

1/2 ton buyers can still only get the quad cab.

So in reality, Dodge still doesn't offer a true crew cab in 1/2 ton configuration.

I agree 100%! That Dodge Ram is FUGLY. The front of it looks like the new Dakota, in other words it looks like crap.
What are they thinking?
If they extend the size of the Ram at least keep the good looking front end (In my Opinion), don't make it look like the new Dakota!

I will tell you this: If Ford ever extends the F-150 it will look a lot better than that thing!
